Eating in Alignment: How a Wholesome Plant-Based Lifestyle Can Reconnect Us to Ourselves

Nina Gheihman

๐—ก๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ฎ ๐—š๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ต๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ป is a Harvard-trained sociologist and self-taught plant-based chef. Her first book is about the cultural evolution of veganism from a niche subculture into a mainstream movement challenging the food system. Currently, Nina is a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley Haasโ€™ Sustainable Food Initiative where she is co-founder of the Plant Futures Symposium and Challenge Lab. Ninaโ€™s work has been published in academic journals as well as media outlets including Refinery29 and The Telegraph. Ninaโ€™s true passion is cooking, eating, and sharing food that is just, nourishing, and grounded in the land. Her talk and practicum will be a meditation on how a wholesome plant-based lifestyle can reconnect us to our deepest values, to the land, and ultimately, to ourselves.
