Her first book is about the cultural evolution of veganism from a niche subculture into a mainstream movement challenging the food system. Currently, Nina is a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Berkeley Haasโ Sustainable Food Initiative where she is co-founder of the Plant Futures Symposium and Challenge Lab. Ninaโs work has been published in academic journals as well as media outlets including Refinery29 and The Telegraph. Ninaโs true passion is cooking, eating, and sharing food that is just, nourishing, and grounded in the land. Her talk and practicum will be a meditation on how a wholesome plant-based lifestyle can reconnect us to our deepest values, to the land, and ultimately, to ourselves.
