Dr. Matthew Hayek is an Assistant Professor at New York University in the Department of Environmental Studies, whose work focuses on the intersection of food production and climate change. Dr. Hayek received his PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Harvard Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, before starting a postdoctoral fellowship in science and policy at Harvard Law School. Dr. Hayek�s research quantifies greenhouse gas emissions and terrestrial ecological impacts of food production, highlighting systems-level opportunities for making food systems more compatible with our international goals to limit global warming.
