As Director of New Product Development, Dr. Laura Kliman is a key leader of the research and development team that drives Impossible Foods�s innovation engine. Through her deep understanding of chemistry and food, Laura and her team conduct research to understand how flavors are generated from plant-based ingredients, focusing on minimizing off-flavors by identification of undesirable precursors and flavor reaction pathways. She approaches product innovation using consumer-centric design principles, balancing nutrition, product quality, versatility, and cost to satisfy the appetites of the world�s most hardcore meat eaters.

Laura led the research teams that developed Impossible Beef and Sausage, and her team continues to develop Impossible Foods� next-generation prototypes to create a sustainable global food system.
